How long does it take to make a piece of jewelry?
Every piece is different but on average 2 to 3 days in several steps. A smaller pendant may require less materials but may take twice as much finishing work.
If I order from your website, when will I get my jewelry?
Most of my pieces are made to order but I work very hard to get you your jewelry very quickly. If a piece is made to order, it is usually completed in 2 to 3 days. I may have the item in my inventory and am able to ship the same day. During holidays and peak times there may be some delays. You are always welcome to email me to discuss.
How do you ship your items?
My items are shipped securely, in a gift box with a bow. All orders receive a free gift.
How long does shipping take?
Currently, I only ship to the United States. I only ship using USPS flat rate priority mail. Tracking information is provided and transit takes 2 to 3 business days. Most items are delivered in 1 business day if shipping to Vermont.
Do you offer local delivery?
Occasionally, I will offer local deliveries during the holiday season, depending on my schedule.
Why does jewelry tarnish?
Virtually, all metals tarnish, it has nothing to do with the quality of the metal. It is an environmental factor. Contact with air, humidity and body chemistries may cause jewelry to tarnish over time.
How do I remove tarnish from my jewelry?
Polishing cloths work better than liquid jewelry cleaner. I include my own formulated jewelry polishing cloths with every purchase. Lightly buff your pieces with the polishing cloth to restore shine.
Do you offer jewelry repairs?
I do offer some small jewelry repairs. Feel free to email me.
Do you offer coupons or promo codes?
Yes, I offer a discount code which can be found on the back of my business card.
Do you have a store?
No, I have a studio in my home. I offer my pieces through my website and local festivals.
Do you sell jewelry for children?
Unfortunately, no. All of my jewelry is intended for adult use only.
I have metal sensitivities and/or allergies. Can I wear your jewelry?
This highly depends on the individual, how they are affected and what metals they are affected by. I have metal sensitivities and wear all of the items and have no reactions. This varies from person to person.
What types of metal do you use?
I use only 100% pure Copper, 92.5% Sterling Silver and Pewter.
What are your necklace chains and earring posts made from?
Necklace chains are made from 92.5% Sterling Silver, Earring posts are 92.5% Sterling Silver and Copper are 100% Copper.
What is 92.5% Sterling Silver?
92.5% or .925 sterling silver is 92.5% Sterling Silver in weight and 7.5% Copper. Pure Sterling Silver or 100% Sterling Silver is very soft and would bend or break. It needs to be used with another metal for hardness and durability.
What is Pewter?
Pewter is a tin based alloy. It contains 92% Tin, 6% Antimony and 2% Copper. Pewter is easy to care for. It does not tarnish the same way sterling silver does, rather it darkens over time.
What is Copper?
Copper is a reddish-metallic alloy metal, naturally occurring in nature. Copper will oxidize over time and form a patina, which can give greenish brown, antique looking color. Copper is naturally antibacterial. Copper is is a long lasting and is completely recyclable. Copper is thought to have several health benefits, one being arthritis and joint pain relief.
Do your pieces contain Lead or Nickel?
None of my pieces contain any Lead or Nickel in the materials but I always recommend that if you have a nickel allergy to only wear Sterling Silver and 18k Gold pieces just to be on the safe side.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes, I'd be happy to work with you on a special piece that you will love.
How long will my jewelry last?
Worn everyday my pieces should last 20 to 30 years. If jewelry is worn occasionally and jewelry care tips are followed it should last a lifetime.
Do you offer returns or refunds?
For hygienic reasons I cannot accept returns or offer refunds. If any of your jewelry is damaged or lost during use please contact me. I will be happy to help any way I can.
